Relay Outputs (Type R)
The modules of the R-series (e.g., XEP01R, XSP01R) feature mechanical relays. These provide galvanic isolation and can also switch AC voltages.
Technical Data
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Contact Type | Normally Open (NO) |
| Switching Voltage | max. 30 VDC / 250 VAC |
| Switching Current | max. 3 A (resistive load) |
| Electrical Life | min. |
| Mechanical Life | approx. |
| Relay Type | Tyco PCN-124D3MHZ |
Relay Power Supply (+Us)
IMPORTANT: 18V Minimum Voltage
The relay coils require at least 18 VDC at terminals Us+ / Us- to pull in reliably. The 12V range (as with the L-series) is not sufficient here!
Output Pin Assignment
The terminal pairs represent potential-free normally open contacts.
| Bit | Terminal | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | O0 / O0 | Relay contact Bit 0 (NO) |
| 1 | O1 / O1 | Relay contact Bit 1 (NO) |
| 2 | O2 / O2 | Relay contact Bit 2 (NO) |
| 3 | O3 / O3 | Relay contact Bit 3 (NO) |
| 4 | O4 / O4 | Relay contact Bit 4 (NO) |
| 5 | O5 / O5 | Relay contact Bit 5 (NO) |
| 6 | O6 / O6 | Relay contact Bit 6 (NO) |
| 7 | O7 / O7 | Relay contact Bit 7 (NO) |
Safety at 230V
When switching mains voltage (230 V AC), the applicable VDE regulations and protection against contact measures must be strictly observed. Work on mains voltage may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
